Juniperus oxycedrus or Cade, is a tree native to the Mediterranean area of high and coastal areas. From its wood, Cade oil is extracted by destructive distillation, with multiple properties.

They are well known in the traditional medicine of ancient civilizations in Europe and Asia for their numerous pharmacological properties and uses: common cold, urinary and kidney infections, dermatological disorders, bronchitis, pneumonia, dysentery, hemorrhage, rheumatoid arthritis, stomach pain, diarrhea, hemorrhoids, to regulate menstruation and relieve menstrual pain.
