Experience the refreshing elegance of Italy Lemon Distilled Essential Oil, obtained from the aromatic peel of Citrus limon lemons grown in Italy.
Renowned for its sparkling citrus character, Italian lemon essential oil captures the unmistakable freshness of freshly peeled lemons, offering an uplifting fragrance with crisp, juicy, and slightly sweet undertones.
Unlike traditional cold-pressed lemon essential oil, this distilled variety is produced through steam distillation, creating a distinctive aromatic profile that is often softer, cleaner, and less sharp than its expressed counterpart.
Its brilliant citrus aroma makes it a versatile ingredient for natural perfumery, aromatherapy, botanical skincare, soaps, candles, and sophisticated fragrance compositions.
In fine perfumery, Lemon Distilled Essential Oil introduces a luminous opening that complements floral, herbal, green, woody, and resinous notes.
Important Distillation Note
Steam-distilled lemon essential oil is different from cold-pressed lemon essential oil.
Cold-pressed lemon oil is mechanically expressed from the peel, while distilled lemon oil is obtained by distillation.
Distillation can alter the proportions of volatile aromatic compounds and generally reduces the transfer of nonvolatile constituents associated with expressed citrus oils.
Steam-distilled lemon oil is often considered a lower-phototoxicity alternative to cold-pressed lemon oil. However, phototoxicity and furocoumarin content should be confirmed through batch-specific documentation rather than assumed solely from the extraction method
