Formulation & Usage

A flower absolute contains the solvent-extracted aromatic fraction of the blossoms. Catechins, EGCG, fatty acids and other constituents associated with tea extracts or camellia seed oil should not be assumed to occur at meaningful levels in this absolute.

Formulation guidance

  • Request the COA, chromatographic profile, residual-solvent statement, allergen declaration and IFRA certificate.
  • Confirm whether the absolute is supplied neat or pre-diluted in a carrier.
  • Pre-dilute if needed for accurate dosing and even dispersion.
  • Determine the final use level from the actual batch documents and intended application.

Applications

  • Fine fragrance: For floral heart accords with sweet woody depth.
  • Natural perfumery: For elegant botanical compositions and floral modifiers.
  • Aromatic products: For premium floral blends after solvent and safety documentation are reviewed.
  • Personal care fragrance: Use within the batch-specific IFRA and allergen limits; do not market it as camellia seed oil.

Safety

Use as a concentrated solvent-extracted fragrance material and base the final concentration on current batch documentation.

  • Do not ingest or apply undiluted to the skin.
  • Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
  • Confirm residual solvents, allergens and applicable IFRA limits.
  • Patch test the finished formulation.
  • Store tightly closed, cool and protected from light.
