Note: Middle note.
Odor: Floral, green, honeyed, slightly spicy, and with earthy undertones. It has a sweet, lingering note, reminiscent of classic mimosa (Acacia dealbata), but with a more herbal and complex undertone.
Appearance: Yellow. 
Country of Origin: Mexico. 

In perfumery:

Mimosa tenuiflora or Tepezcohuite is native to Mexico, Brazil, Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala. It grows in semi-arid climates and dry tropical zones and is capable of regenerating eroded soils.

It is widely cultivated for the healing properties of its bark, and the absolute from its flowers is rarely extracted.

Mimosa tenuiflora flower absolute is much less common than Mimosa dealbata absolute. It is considered a luxury ingredient in natural perfumery.

It has an earthy-herbal aspect that gives it a natural and exotic depth.

Ideal for perfumes:
-Powdery florals: combined with rose, violet, Heliotrope and Orris root.
-Soft orientals: benzoin, sandalwood, and opoponax.
-Ambery florals: amber, styrax, and osmanthus.
-Refined greens and herbals.
-Spicy: Cardamom and Coriander Seed.
-Animals: Cistus, Civet, Castoreum.

It has a very strong aroma, so it is recommended to dilute and mix carefully.

Cosmetic Properties:

-Softening and emollient, ideal for sensitive or dry skin.
-Can be used in soothing and regenerating formulas.
-Mild anti-inflammatory and healing effect.

Aromatherapy Properties:

-Energizing and emotional.
-It is said to promote joy, emotional openness, and connection with intuition.
-It is associated with emotional heart balance in floral aromatherapy traditions.
