The Siberian pine is a tree that stands out for the large size it reaches and has evergreen leaves that are shaped like needles. It is a tree that began to be cultivated in Europe at the beginning of the 19th century.

It manages to grow in extremely cold environments and being in environments with temperatures below 50ºC, it does not suffer any type of deterioration.

It is a conifer native to Siberia, growing around the Stanovoi Mountains in the south of the Sakha Republic, around the Ural Mountains in the east, in Igarka, around the lower Yenisei River valley, and in the south towards the central Mongolia. Currently it is extended to more areas of the world. It grows from 100 meters to 2400 meters of altitude. It has a life of up to 850 years.

It belongs to the genus of white pines, due to the color of its wood, which is very light in color, being almost white. It is believed to be a variety of Pinus Cembro due to its similarity.

Its essential oil has many properties, it works as an insecticide, deodorant, purifier and febrifuge. Widely used added to cleaning products for its bactericidal power as it is very disinfectant.
