Absolute of Gardenia Jasminoides or Cape Jasmin is not the Gardenia Grandiflorum which is the common one, this Gardenia smells different, it leaves a scent similar to Jasmin, although it is a unique aroma in itself.
This Gardenia is native to Asia although it is currently widespread throughout the United States, occurring in the USDA zone from 7 to 11. Absolute has a powerful and intoxicating fragrance. Sweet, floral and exotic top notes with intoxicating, warm and honeyed undertones.
It is a powerful antidepressant of a stimulant nature. Especially suitable for people who suffer from a lack of confidence.
