Hyssop Essential Oil is a powerful aromatic oil steam-distilled from the flowering tops and leaves of Hyssopus Officinalis. Known for its fresh, herbaceous, camphoraceous, slightly sweet, and medicinal-green aroma, Hyssop has a long history of use in traditional herbal practices, incense rituals, aromatic preparations, and natural perfumery.
Its scent is bright and penetrating, opening with cool herbal freshness, camphor-like clarity, dry green leaves, subtle floral sweetness, and a warm balsamic undertone. In natural perfumery, Hyssop Essential Oil adds a distinctive aromatic lift to herbal, fougère, chypre, incense, medicinal, masculine, and Mediterranean-inspired compositions.
Because of its strong aroma and naturally occurring ketone content, Hyssop Essential Oil should be used carefully and at low levels in cosmetic and aromatic formulations.
