Olive-derived Phytosqualane is a highly refined, stable, and bio-compatible lipid obtained through the hydrogenation of natural squalene extracted from olive oil (Olea Europaea). This process converts unsaturated squalene into Squalane, a saturated and oxidation-resistant molecule with exceptional skin affinity.
This ingredient is prized in advanced cosmetic formulations for its silky, non-greasy skin feel, superior spreadability, and its ability to mimic the skin’s own natural lipids. Unlike traditional oils, Phytosqualane penetrates rapidly without leaving residue, delivering immediate softness and long-lasting hydration.
It is considered a high-performance emollient and a cornerstone ingredient in luxury skincare, dermocosmetics, and haircare formulations.

Key Active Components:

- Squalane (C30H62) – ≥ 98–100% purity
- Trace residuals (depending on grade).
- Natural lipid fractions (minimal, highly refined grades are nearly pure).
- Fully saturated hydrocarbon (derived from triterpene squalene).
- Extremely stable (resistant to oxidation and rancidity).
Functional & Cosmetic Properties:
Biomimetic lipid – structurally similar to human sebum.
High oxidative stability – long shelf life, no rancidity.
Excellent spreadability – enhances texture of formulations.
Non-comedogenic – suitable for acne-prone skin.
Fast-absorbing – no oily residue.
Barrier-supporting – reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL).
