Blue Yarrow Essential Oil is a distinctive aromatic oil steam-distilled from the flowering tops and aerial parts of Achillea millefolium, commonly known as yarrow. This captivating essential oil is valued for its deep herbal, green, camphoraceous, softly floral, dry, and slightly bitter aromatic profile.

Certain yarrow chemotypes naturally develop a blue to deep blue-green coloration during distillation due to the presence of chamazulene-related azulene compounds. This gives Blue Yarrow Essential Oil a rare visual identity as well as a complex aromatic character that is both herbaceous and refined.

Its aroma is more intense and botanical than a traditional sweet floral oil. Blue yarrow brings an earthy, aromatic, slightly medicinal, dry-green complexity to natural perfumery, body oils, massage blends, balms, botanical skincare, hair oils, ritual beauty products, and spa-inspired formulations.

Blue Yarrow Essential Oil is especially beautiful in herbal-floral, blue botanical, resinous, forest-inspired, aromatic, and grounding perfume compositions.
