Coming from Brazil, Cabreuva oil is a rare and difficult to find oil. It is mostly used in perfumery, since it has a soft, woody, enveloping aroma, capable of enhancing the floral notes. It has a consistency similar to Mysore sandalwood oil and multiple medicinal, aromatherapy and skin care properties. It is antiseptic, relaxing, antidepressant, anti-allergic, aphrodisiac, balances hormones, acts on the respiratory system facilitating bronchodilation, hypotensive, balances hormones.

In medication it is one of the oils that helps ground, balance, and provide mental clarity.
It is a little-researched oil, but the few studies that have been carried out reveal that it contains mostly transnerolidol, which in addition to being antimicrobial, is a skin penetration enhancer, serving as a vehicle to better absorb other medications that you want to apply topically.
Which also makes it ideal for use in skin care formulas.
