Product Overview
Galbanum essential oil is steam-distilled from the aromatic gum resin of Ferula gummosa, the Botanical name for the species also known as Ferula galbaniflua. It belongs to the Apiaceae family, traditionally called Umbelliferae.
Its powerful green, fresh, spicy and balsamic profile is valued in very small amounts for naturalistic leafy effects, chypre and fougère structures, floral-green accords and woody bases. It also functions as a base note and fixative.
