This is an oil distilled in the United States in an artisan way with Galbanum resin bought in Pakistan.
It is a plant native to the Middle East and Western Asia and its cultivation for perfumery is located mainly in Iran. Galbanum is a yellowish or brownish gum resin obtained from certain Asian plants such as the gummy splint (Ferula gummosa), of the Umbelliferae family. The milky fluid that hardens into galbanum oozes from the plant stem naturally or is induced to flow through an incision.
The stem is the place where all the resin is found, which is later processed to obtain the essential oil or galbanum resinoid. This resin is harvested repeatedly during the months of June to September.
It belongs to the green aromatic group. It is usually used regularly in the composition of perfumes, although in very low concentrations. It has a green fresh, spicy and balsamic aroma. Enters the composition of some floral and woody perfumes.
It is common to find it in green, chypre, fougère perfumes and to provide interesting notes to green floral chords where a leafy character is required or to give the composition naturalness. Combines very well with hyacinth and gardenia. In aromatherapy it is used in cases of mental fatigue and stress. Helps eliminate stubborn odors when used on a burner.
In the care of muscle and joint pain, it is effective against osteoarthritis, rheumatism and contractures. This oil also acts against skin infections such as boils and abscesses. Quickly heals wounds and slows the formation of wrinkles. Also recommended to regulate the menstrual cycle and for menopause disorders. It is also useful against inflammation of the mucous membranes and clears the airways in cases of asthma and persistent cough.
