- Antiseptic and antifungal:
Protects the body from different germs. It is very useful in wound healing, applying 4 to 6 drops of the essential oil on the wound, always diluted in a vegetable oil (olive, argan, rosehip...).
In studies carried out, it was shown that Cedrus Atlantica has powerful antibacterial activity against:
-Staphylococcus Aureus
-Micrococcus Luteus
-Escherichia coli
-Enterococcus Fecalis
-Pseudomonas aeruginosa
-Klebsiella Aerogenes.
- Antioxidant: In studies carried out, it was shown that it exhibits a powerful antioxidant activity, being greater than ascorbic acid and Alpha tocopherol. It significantly prevents lipid peroxidation, that is, the rancidity of fatty acids. It is a natural preservative and antioxidant. It represses the activity of lipoxygenase and prevents the peroxidation of linoleic acid and lipids.
- Anti-inflammatory and dermaprotective: Inhibits the proliferation of tyrosinase, which is an enzyme involved in the development of melanogenesis in mammals.
- Antiseborrheic:
Suitable for regulating sebum production. Very useful in dry, scaly and cracked skin. Also in hair with dandruff.
- Relaxing:
Relieves anxiety and stress. Relaxes and calms the mind, being also very suitable in cases of insomnia.
- Expectorant, Mucolytic:
