Lilac Essential Oil is one of the most precious and rarest oils in the world and is revered for its immensely sweet and divine aroma.

Lilac essential oil is rich in polyphenols: quercetin 3-glucoside, quercetin 3-rutinoside and acteoside. Recent studies on Syringia vulgaris have found that they significantly reduce blood flow which could be useful in vascular disorders, inflammation of blood vessels and platelet aggregation (See Pud Med). In addition, research was carried out on the antioxidant properties of Syringin, a phenylpropanoid with great cytotoxic potential (a substance with a toxic effect on a certain cell, used on tumor cells). (For more information consult Pub Med: "Chemical Profile, Cytotoxic Activity and Oxidative Stress Reduction of Different Syringa vulgaris").

Not for use during pregnancy, with the elderly, infants, or if epileptic. Possible skin irritant in some individuals; dilute well.

General Safety Information: Do not take any oils internally and do not apply undiluted essential oils, onto the skin without advanced essential oil knowledge or consultation from a qualified aromatherapy practitioner. If you are pregnant, epileptic, have liver damage, have cancer, or have any other medical problem, use oils only under the proper guidance of a qualified aromatherapy practitioner. Use extreme caution when using oils with children. Consult a qualified aromatherapy practitioner before using oils with children, the elderly, if you have medical issues or are taking medications.

*Organic extraction refers to the fact that this essential oil has been extracted using the ancient enfleurage method, in two lilac flowering seasons, subsequently the enfleurage oil was extracted with alcohol, then the enfleurage fat and alcohol were removed, leaving just the essential oil. This process is done with lilac, because it does not withstand the high temperatures of distillation, since lilac essential oil has a lower melting point than other oils that have been subjected to distillation.
