Pepper has been widely cultivated since ancient times, first in Asia, and later its cultivation and uses spread throughout the world. In the Middle Ages in Europe it was considered a luxury item, and was even used as currency due to its rarity and how expensive it was. Its high value was what drove the discovery of America, since a new route was sought to access Asia, in search of such a precious species.


Green pepper, are the grains of black pepper or Piper Nigrum, without reaching the ripening process, it is normally sold dried or preserved. It has a spicy, fresh and bright aroma, where spicy notes and a fruity green touch stand out.


Green pepper is a biopreservative as it has been found to have antimicrobial properties.


Green Pepper oil is warm and stimulating. It stimulates the circulatory system, and can be used in a massage mixture to relieve pain caused by arthritis, joint stiffness, sciatica, muscle pain and sprains. It has decongestant properties and helps the respiratory system.


In aromatherapy it is very useful as an invigorating oil, which stimulates dull, uplifting and energizing moods. It helps to maintain states of alert.
