This essential oil is obtained by steam distilling chamomile flowers and leaves, and its gentle herbal aroma is said to calm and clear the mind. Its botanical name comes from the Latin “matrix” and refers to the womb of women, because it was once used to treat many disorders of the womb. It is one of the most recommended natural remedies to relieve colic in babies and in Germany in particular it is used to soothe irritated and inflamed skin. It is also highly appreciated for its digestive properties.
The healing powers of chamomile have been known since ancient times. Chamomile is used for its high capacity to relieve ulcers, wounds, irritations, itching, dermatitis and all types of skin disorders. Its greatest power lies in being a powerful analgesic for all types of disorders. Very effective in skin care products. In aromatherapy it has many properties.
Precautions: Not for use during pregnancy and nursing mothers should avoid Blue Lotus Absolute oil during their pregnancy. Should not be applied on children or infants.
