Amber Fossilized Absolute is a rare and luxurious aromatic material derived from fossilized amber, traditionally known as Succinum officinale. Valued for its deep, sweet, resinous character, this material brings an ancient, warm, and mysterious beauty to natural perfumery and artisan aromatic formulations.
Unlike modern “amber accords,” which are often blends of labdanum, vanilla, benzoin, and balsamic notes, fossilized amber absolute offers a more unique and historic aromatic profile. Its scent is warm, sweet, resinous, slightly smoky, balsamic, earthy, and softly mineralic, with a golden depth that feels ancient, sensual, and meditative.
This absolute is ideal for luxury perfumes, oil-based fragrances, incense-inspired blends, solid perfumes, botanical perfume oils, ritual aromatics, and sophisticated resinous compositions. Used in small amounts, it can add warmth, depth, fixation, and a beautiful antique resin effect to floral, woody, oriental, leather, incense, and gourmand perfumes.
