The pinaceae family is one of the most varied evergreen families. The Strobus pine, native to eastern Europe and part of Asia, is one of the oldest pines in existence; fossils have been found dating back to the Late Cretaceous. It is currently distributed throughout the world.

The essential oil obtained from pinaceae has important compounds against the defense of pathogens, viruses and bacteria, in addition to powerful antioxidant activity.

Main components are Alpha and Beta Pinene, Beta-Myrcene, Beta Phellandrene, Camphene.

Not for use during pregnancy, with the elderly, infants, or if epileptic. Possible skin irritant in some individuals; dilute well.
