Tuberose Absolute is an exceptionally rich and concentrated floral extract obtained from the highly fragrant blossoms of Polianthes tuberosa, also botanically recognized as Agave amica.

Tuberose is one of the most celebrated white florals in fine perfumery. Its aroma is powerful, creamy, narcotic, sweet, and deeply sensual, with green, honeyed, waxy, lactonic, and softly spicy nuances.

Unlike a simple fresh-flower fragrance, tuberose absolute reveals multiple aromatic layers. It opens with lush green floral notes, develops into a creamy and almost buttery white-floral heart, and finishes with warm, honeyed, animalic, and slightly earthy undertones.

Because of its extraordinary aromatic intensity, only a small amount is usually required to transform a perfume composition. It is especially valuable in luxury floral fragrances, oriental perfumes, tropical accords, solid perfumes, aromatic body products, candles, incense-inspired blends, and sophisticated natural perfumery.

Important Aroma Note

Tuberose Absolute is an intense natural extract and may smell significantly different when concentrated than it does in a finished perfume.

From the bottle, it may appear:

  • Very strong.
  • Heavy.
  • Waxy.
  • Green.
  • Earthy.
  • Animalic.
  • Overly sweet.
  • Slightly fermented or indolic.

After dilution, the aroma typically becomes more floral, creamy, radiant, nuanced, and elegant.

Always evaluate the material at several dilution levels before judging its full aromatic profile.

Natural Perfumery Uses

Tuberose Absolute is one of the most expressive materials in natural perfumery.

  • Provide sensuality and diffusion.
  • Enrich tropical compositions.
  • Connect floral notes with woods and resins.
  • Add depth to gourmand fragrances.
  • Soften sharp citrus or green notes.
  • Create an opulent, evening-style perfume.
  • Enhance the floral character of solid perfumes and attars.

Because of its high intensity, it should usually be introduced drop by drop or through a controlled dilution.

Skincare and Body-Care Applications

Tuberose Absolute may be used primarily as an aromatic ingredient in:

  • Luxury body oils.
  • Scented body creams.
  • Hand creams.
  • Aromatic balms.
  • Massage preparations.
