Arnica essential oil is extracted from the petals of the Arnica flower, which is native to Europe, although it is found in Asia and North America. It is found in mountainous areas and with acid soils. It has been used to flavor some dishes, although it can be toxic when consumed in excess. Arnica contains lactones, helenalin, hexuronic acid, flavonoids among others.

Properties:
-Wound healing: It has lactones with healing and anti-inflammatory properties, which reduces the production of prostaglandins and cytokines that act as inflammatory substances when the skin has been exposed to blows, wounds, scratches or cuts.
-Antihistamine action: Helps reduce inflammation of wounds because it inhibits fluid extravasation from blood vessels around and in the lesion.
-Pain in the joints: The helenalin present in its composition has an anti-inflammatory action that helps block the production of proteins responsible for chronic inflammation of the joints in people with osteoarthritis.
-Muscle distension: Helps to reduce pain and treat muscle distension, due to the lactones it contains.
-Postoperative pain: Arnica helps reduce inflammation in the tissues, bruises around the surgical cut have suffered rupture of blood vessels, which arnica, due to its healing and anticoagulant action, helps to repair.
- Varicose veins and hemorrhoids: Lactones and hexuronic acid help in the treatment of varicose veins and hemorrhoids. They help reduce inflammation of dilated veins under the skin, reducing pain and discomfort.
-Baldness: Mixed with Jaborandi helps to strengthen the hair follicle.
