The Java Sandalwood is the closest to the Mysore Sandalwood, they have the same viscosity and buttery background. The Java Sandalwood is a very scarce and rare sandalwood to find. It shares almost the same chemical composition as Mysore although it has a soft woody aroma and a subtle animalic note. Like all Sandalwood, it is an incredible fixative for perfumery. This Sandalwood is sourced from a small local cooperative and distilled by hand in small batches, ethically and sustainably.
