Australian Sandalwood was discovered in the 19th century, and its use in rituals became popular in China. It was also widely used as an antibiotic in countries that were British colonies and in England itself. Before penicillin was discovered and became popular, Australian Sandalwood was prescribed and found in pharmacies and hospitals. It was also widely used in venereal diseases.
Sandalwood have demonstrated proven effectiveness against some fungi, microbes and viruses (human papilloma, herpes simplex I and II) and anti-inflammatory. Very effective against Acne and acne scars. In addition to being a calmer for the nervous and emotional system, both Sandalwood are highly effective in relieving nervous system disorders.
Australian Sandalwood comes from ethical and sustainable cultivation. The extraction of Sandalwood essential oil and Australian Sandalwood seed oil is done in collaboration with native Australians, from trees over 30 years old and harvested in native reserves, who maintain strict control over sustainable logging of sandalwood trees.
The essential oil is extracted by distillation from the heartwood of the tree. Although the olfactory profile is very similar to Mysore, it has softer, lighter and more delicate nuances.
