Collection: CO₂ Extract

The CO2 in a supercritical state is injected into an extractor where the plant material to be extracted is located. The carbon dioxide will act as a solvent for the lipophilic active ingredients. At the outlet of the extractor, it returns to its usual pressure, which returns the CO2 to its gaseous state, being easily removed from the extracted compounds and being able to be stored again for later extraction. The extracts obtained are very powerful active ingredients of optimal quality.

CO2 extraction is an ecological and high-tech process, without the presence of petrochemical solvents, which allows obtaining very pure and concentrated extracts with a fragrance very faithful to the plant.

Rare Bio Linden Blossom CO2 Absolute Oil | Tilia Cordata | Premium Quality | For aromatherapy

“Not a true reflection of linden flowers in bloom, it seems to capture more of the herbaceous and woody aspects of the tree itself. I find it fresh, green floral, a bit weedy, tea-like, and with dry woody aspects. Not exactly what I was looking for but actually happy to have it in my stock, as I can probably find a use for it in agrestic or fougere perfumes.”

Elderflower CO2 Select Extract | Sambucus Nigra

“There is a nice floral top note that quickly fades to a bitter weedy green mid note. However, that weediness fades after maybe 30 minutes and then you are left with a soft, sweet herbaceous floral that is quite nice. I'm not sure how to use this oil yet, I'll have to spend some time experimenting.”
